“Miscellaneous” is
such a cop out. But.

Where to put it all? I love these, I love the people I made them with,
I love you for looking.

Google WAZE “New Moods” — script & VO

You know the rules: When you run out of money, throw the writer in a broom closet and make them do the voiceover. Waze partnered with Sesame Street to make Cookie Monster available as a voice to provide directions. To push that, we thought offering some other beloved characters as Moods (Waze map avatars) would be cool, everyone agreed, they threw me in the broom closet, and this is the first teaser.

Laughing Cow Cheese

We were handed finished spots in French that used humor that we were told absolutely would not land with an American audience. So we completely rewrote these around the finished visuals. I realize now as I’m writing this, we never even knew what they were saying in the originals…

“World's Fastest Nudist” campaign for Zappos

We developed these to announce Zappos’ new super-fast delivery of clothes. They asked for a "viral video," and we were nice about that dreaded request. Lo and behold, people actually fell for this and shared it out in crazy numbers. Including Anderson Cooper, who featured our actor here on AC360 as a legit public nudist. If we ever talk, ask me how this guy got the part.

Total Hail Mary
on a weird budget.

This might belong in the VH1 social section, because yes it’s a billboard, but it was a social play. This billboard on Sunset was the only space, IRL or online, that we were given to advertise a show starring complete unknowns. These unknowns are, however, Hollywood royalty who have enormous followings. We bet that some very on-brand "bite the hand that feeds you" copy would result in tons of photos and shares, and we were right. The premiere was huge.

Still working on a B&B
joke to put in the title

I used to write a ton of this DVD box set copy for MTV, MTV2 and Logo. This one isn’t going to be the thing that lands
me new work, but it’s near and dear — because Mike Judge was very hard to please, and he really liked this
bit of copy. Small victories, Dillweeds!
